What’s more Irish than a shamrock?

Hi Downland Crafters,

Michelle (aka Michelf) here.  It’s been a while since I did a blog post so I thought I’d share how I made the few cards I made. I made a trio as I just couldn’t stop once I started.

Starting with the new stamp set ‘Coola Boola’ I used  my finger daubers to add 3 shades of green to the large shamrock in the stamp set.  Tip: Start with the darkest at the stem and base of the image and add the next lighter shade, overlap a little to blend so the transition isn’t harsh.  I  stamped again with Versamark and heat embossed using clear embossing powder for a small bit of interest and dimension.

Next I added a sentiment from the ‘As Geilge Greetings’ stamp set and also clear heat embossed it.

I trimmed my white 5.5″ x 4.25″ panel down by .25″ on the side and bottoms and matted it on some gold cardstock from my stash.

These would make quick and easy sets for a gift for friends or teachers.

Does anyone else hear the words “look up, it’s Aer Lingus”?

I hope you live it as much as I do!

I would love to see what you do with this set. Be sure to post any cards you make on the Downland Crafters Facebook page.

Happy stamping,

Michelf
